Tolls on the Golden Gate Bridge will increase 25 cents July 1, but no more toll increases are planned. The increase, intended to help prevent a budget deficit, will bring the cost of crossing the bridge to $8 for cash payers.
The Smart Columbus Operating System, developed in Columbus, Ohio, will aggregate data to provide residents with information about transportation and other community services. "Fundamental to 'becoming smart' as a city is discovering how to use data to improve city services and quality of life for residents," Columbus Mayor Andrew Ginther said.
